Friendly Shoes is truly a friendly shoe company. Clinician founded (by an occupational therapist), this shoe company has created and patented a zipper system that allows for easy entry. The discrete adaptations allow for a fashionable shoe without sacrificing comfort. The Voyage shoe includes an easy front access while the Excursion has an easy rear access that also includes a discrete eyelet tab that you can grasp easily for pulling open or closed or with a dressing stick. • Kizik

KIZIK is a newer brand that has really caught my eye. It is a portfolio company of HandsFree Labs, an organization which creates Foot Activated Shoe Technology (F.A.S.T.) solutions. HandsFree Labs boasts investment from Nike and seems to be on the path for great innovation when it comes to hands free options. This hands free shoe utilizes a spring back heel so that when you slide your foot into the shoe and the heel compresses, the heel pops up securing your foot in place.
